Undefeated SenegaleseASCVD (2-1) recorded its first loss in Praia. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Cape Verdean Kriol S. (1-2) 66-63 . Kriol S. made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. ASCVD was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Portuguese-Cape Verdean Ivan Almeida (197-1989, college: Stonehill) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Joel Almeidfa (-2006) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Kriol S. players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by American forward William Perry (183-1994, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) did not help to save the game for ASCVD . South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (210-1987, college: UConn) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kriol S. left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with P.Luanda. Defending Senegalese champion ASCVD still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with US Monastir.
